Wine should be enjoyed, not overthought
You don’t need to memorize appellations, master a tasting grid, or know the “right” answer to enjoy a great bottle of wine.
Knowing a little more can make wine more interesting — where it comes from, why it tastes the way it does, what makes one bottle completely different from another. But that knowledge should add to the experience, not get in the way of it.
Be curious. Drink what you enjoy. Try something unexpected. Ask questions. Share a bottle with people you like.
Because the point isn’t to know everything about wine. It’s to let wine add something to a life already worth savoring.

HELLO, I’M TRISTA
Wine lover. Curious traveler. Your very un-stuffy wine guide.
I’m WSET Level 3 certified, a longtime wine lover, enthusiastic traveler, and firm believer that the best bottle is often the one that comes with a good story.
A Well-Poured Life grew out of the questions friends were already asking me: What should I order? What should I serve with this? Is that bottle worth it? And where should we go when we finally make it to wine country?
Somewhere along the way, I realized those conversations were my favorite part — helping people discover something new, understand a little more, and enjoy what’s in their glass without taking any of it too seriously.
